I wanted to share with the group. The results are impressing. First I tested the intensity (amp) with both Duracell and Energizer. Duracell started at 1.2A and dropped below 1A after 2 min. Energizer started at 1.4A but dropped faster. Below 1A after 2min40sec. I started the burn test with Duracell at 7am yesterday morning. I kept a fresh light with the same batteries to compare. After 6 hours, in the dark, on a wall 3m away, could not see any difference between the fresh light and the burning one. After 8 hours, ok maybe my eye is no expert on this but I still could not see any real difference. After 9 hours I could barely see a difference of focus. But very barely. After 10h30, the burning light seems a bit weaker. But side by side with a Halcyon light (UK bulb)... still way better. After 15h, ok the difference with a fresh light is now very clear. Comparing with a fresh Halcyon light is tricky since the type of light produced is so different. But I'd say that I could see slightly further with the fresh Halcyon light at this point in time. But the white light of the Heser was significantly more pleasant. Now after 24h the light is still burning, and I think I could still use it to follow a cave line. So when I see the Halcyon light selling at $86 on their web site, I'd say that Karl really does no need to justify the price of his light! Thanks for making such a great product Karl. Danke sehr. H
